ShatteredClan’s territory is a thick oak forest with heavy undergrowth throughout. The ground is often speckled in the sunlight that filtered through the tree canopy above. Due to the recent storm, however, the forest floor is littered with fallen trees and jagged stumps, all covered in at least a thin layer of moss and sunlight-hungry undergrowth. In many places, a rather twoleg heavy history is preserved in the structures and objects they left behind. As well there are many hidden entrances into the shaded past of WoodClan - secrets left in covered caves, bones abandoned in underground burrows.
The weather and seasons of ShatteredClan’s territory are generally calm and predictable. Newleaf and leaffall are extremely similar, with mild temperatures and plenty of rain. These seasons are tied for the second most plentiful prey. Greenleaf is warm and sunny with little rain but occasionally a few misty mornings. Prey is extremely plentiful in this season. Leafbare, however, is the most hated season. The ground is almost always covered in snow or frost and prey is very scarce. Newleaf can never come quick enough.
In the very northwest of the territory is a large waterfall which crashes continuously into the pool below. The edges of the pool are marked by a gravel beach that slopes gently towards the waters edge, scattered with brilliant white specks amongst the almost uniform grey of the rest. The water itself is a vibrant turquoise with gentle waves combing its surface whenever a breeze blows by. The pool as a whole is where all cats of ShatteredClan can commune with their ancestors in CloudClan. From the pool flows ShatteredClan’s main water source, a gentle river that flows south and slightly to the east. Just over halfway down the territory, the river splits in two. One stream flows directly south while the other, smaller stream flows eastward.
Just south the eastward flowing stream lies the clan’s camp, a small group of twoleg nests, only 5 in total. These twoleg nests have definitely seen better days, many of them have one collapsed or partially collapsed wall and one has a roof that’s falling in. Their once brilliant white paint and slate grey shingles have dulled due to many, many moons of neglect. There is no specific den structure for these twoleg nests, most cats just sleep where they prefer. To the north of the camp, on the other side of the stream, lies a soft, grassy clearing. This clearing is mostly used for training apprentices in battle and hunting techniques but is perfect for snowy days in winter.
In the far northeast lies a thunderpath corner, just barely clipping the territory. It mostly goes unused and is rarely repaired. Many cats of ShatteredClan no longer fear the monsters like many other clans do. In fact, medicine cats often collect some of the hardier herbs from the area as they are much more plentiful there than anywhere else.
